Rolling dice

Every roll is made by World Vault and saved to a log, so the result is the real one.

Tap a number or dice on your sheet: a skill, a save, an ability check, initiative, an attack, damage, a spell’s effect. The roll includes your bonuses.

  • d20 rolls (attacks, checks, saves, initiative) first let you pick advantage or disadvantage. If one of your features gives advantage on that roll, it’s already picked; you can change it.
  • Damage and other dice just roll. There’s no separate critical-hit button: roll the extra dice yourself when you crit.

The round dice button (bottom right) opens the tray. Tap dice to build a pool (for example 2d6 + 1d4), tap a die in the pool to remove it, add a + or − modifier, choose advantage or disadvantage for a d20, and roll.

Turn on Private before rolling and only you and your DM see the result. Everything else goes to the campaign’s roll log, which everyone at the table can see.

During a session the DM can ask you to roll something, sometimes offering a choice (“Persuasion or Deception”). A card appears on your sheet: pick the roll, choose advantage or disadvantage, and roll. Rolled real dice instead? Type the dice total and choose Send; your bonuses are added for you. If the DM asked privately, only the DM sees the answer.

Features that let you reroll (like Lucky) are reminders on your sheet: when you use one, just roll again.
