Leveling up

When your DM says you’ve leveled up, a Level up banner appears on your sheet (or use Level up at the bottom of the sheet).

  1. Choose which class gains the level (useful if you multiclass).
  2. World Vault shows what that level brings: new features, more hit points, more spell slots.
  3. Make the choices the level asks for: a subclass, an Ability Score Improvement or feat, new spells, a fighting style, and so on.
  4. Choose your hit points: the average, or the number you rolled.
  5. Confirm. Your sheet updates.

The Features tab also shows what’s coming next level, so you can plan ahead.

In a campaign, the DM can mark that a level-up is available; the banner clears once you’ve taken it.
