DM tools on characters

As a campaign’s DM you can open any character in it from the campaign page. You see the sheet as the player does, read-only, and you have a few tools of your own.

  • DM notes: leave a note on a character (“You found a strange key”). The player is notified and can dismiss it.
  • Items: give items to a character, or take them away. The player is notified.
  • Effects and conditions: apply a condition, or an effect like Bless or Haste. It switches on in the player’s sheet math, and the player can remove it.
  • Level-up available: tick it to let a player level up; their sheet shows a Level up banner until they do.

Hit points are the player’s to track. You see changes on your party dashboard and on the Table Display, but you can’t edit a player’s HP.

The campaign page also shows your party dashboard: every character’s HP, AC, speed, passive scores, senses, conditions and concentration at a glance.
